These are Simply the BEST Pork Chops ever! This easy marinade will make amazing pork chops baked or grilled. They’re a perfect balance of garlic, smoke, spice, and sweet! And better yet, this is a No Need to Measure recipe – just toss it together and enjoy!
We LOVE us some pork chops. We live in a college town with a great agricultural department, and they sell amazing fresh pork that is very inexpensive! The best pork chops I’ve ever purchased… they are always tender and juicy, even when I over cook it (which I never do… ever… yep that’s my story and I’m sticking to it).

I came up with this basic marinade after cleaning out our spice cabinet and pretty much tossing everything we had. Do you ever check your spices? I had some that were 4 years old! Being very low on spices at that point, I used what I had left. I rubbed some Sea salt, fresh cracked pepper, garlic powder, and Spanish smoked paprika right into the meat and then I splashed on some balsamic vinegar and let it do it’s job. It made simply the BEST pork chops I’ve ever made. It’s my quick go to marinade now, because it’s good 20 minutes before I cook them or even better marinated for a day or so. No Need to Measure and fast? That’s just too easy!

First, 4 years for spices is average in my house.. when Deena moved back home in 2004 she had a fit when she went thru my spices… finding original schilling labels, which I kept only for sentimental reasons 😳.. apparently some were older than her… 😁 She threw out some, but kept a few.. they need to be purged again..
The chops sound yummy… except for the smoke flavor.. I’m just not a smoky flavored girl.. but I do have ” hot ” paprika.. is that close? I’m hungry for country ribs now… do you have a good recipe for them?
It’s not a heavy smokey flavor. I’m with you on that. I don’t like something that’s overwhelmingly smoky.
I actually don’t care for country ribs. But I would imagine that this would work just as well. I think the “hot” paprika would be ok, just use a little less.
My wife loves pork chops and I think this will perfect to surprise her with. I love the no “need measure” recipe its how my Mom and grandma cook. Thanks for sharing Nicole!
This article is really a good one it helps new net users, who are wishing in favor of blogging.
These is nothing as satisfying as a really great pork chop. Sometimes those “clean out the pantry” recipes end up being the best.
I just love the simplicity of this recipe!! I also love that it can be used as a quick marinade, or overnight. A versatile recipe is a good one in my books!!
A good cut of meat doesn’t require too many ingredients. This is nice and simple, and looks very tasty!
Yum! I’ve been looking for a new pork recipe!
Well look no further!!
I’m with you about the beauty of a good pork chop. They can’t be beat. Your attitude about your spice rub is awesome! Throw in a little of this, some of that, and call it a day.
Thank you. I think that’s pretty much my attitude towards all things. lol
These look absolutely delicious, I love that it only takes 5 minutes of prep work. No need to measure? Even bette! As a chef, I am very fussy about the shelf life of my spices but because we use everything often, nothing lasts too long.
I was shocked and disgusted by how old some of mine were. Clearly ones I use constantly were in date, but I had almost a half a trash bag full of really, really old spices. It just goes to show that you need to clear them out now and then.
Mmm. I’m always looking for good pork marinades, and I think this is perfect! Also I love that this is a no-measure recipe! Totally using this next time I’m having a bbq! Thanks for sharing 🙂
Wonderful! Let me know how you like it!
Those look wonderful! I love smoked paprika and try to use it whenever I can. Love how crispy these look.
Smoked paprika goes a long way with any meat! It bring this extra rustic flavor! This roast looks fantastic! I also am surprised by the amount of old spices that I never get around to use… For instance the old cayenne pepper in the back which turns brownish and tasteless after a year or dried out saffron that loses all its color and taste. Love your no measuring themes here! Great job and keep on the cooking!
